About this blog

Taking its title from a chapter in William Powers’ book Hamlet’s Blackberry, this blog will explore the ways we find respite for our weary minds in a connected world. How do we find and cultivate inner space in the clamor? How do we focus amid the distractions? Or are distractions the “real world” now?

(For a more thorough description, see my introductory blog post, The Desired Destination.)

I welcome your thoughts, links, jokes, (distractions!) on how we find moments of peace in which to return to ourselves.

  1. Dear Brenda,
What a delight it is to find your blog. You are doing what I'm trying to do as well, find peace and moments of "ahh" and a place to share what you learn from the field, and I'm so glad to be reading and sharing.
    All best, Natalia
